Changes in snowplow-mounting guidelines

The most significant changes in the manufacturers' guidelines for snowplow mounting for the 2009 model year come from Ford. Ken Tyburski, supervisor of product information for special vehicle engineering, said the recommended weight limits on a properly equipped 2009 F-150 have changed. The completed vehicle weight for a Regular Cab is now 750 lb (700-lb removable snowplow plus 50 lb of permanently attached hardware), compared to 695 lb for the 2008 model year.
