WHEN adhesive foam tapes were introduced in light trailer manufacturing, they provided a number of product and production advantages, but sidewalls tended to bow out and delaminate. Engineers had ideas on how to reduce or eliminate the delamination and allow the trailers to retain the smooth sidewalls that customers want. But how could they best prove that their proposed solutions would do the job?
