Accuride enters joint venture with Benecor

Accuride Corporation has entered into a joint venture with Benecor Inc. Through this venture, the companies will focus on building a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) (UREA) dispensing infrastructure. Engine and truck manufacturers have spent tremendous resources developing engine offerings that comply with new emissions standards that become effective in 2010. Many have adopted Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology that requires the use of DEF (UREA) as a central operating fluid that virtually eliminates nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from diesel engines.
